Did you pick up your over-the-door shoe organizer and print your cards and tags? If not, go to Step 1 before diving into the next step of building your Christmas Advent Calendar. Today, I have tons of fantastic ideas to help you get through the month of December in an unforgettable way! I did the hard work, you just need to follow a few steps to make it an amazing season for you and your family. Prep before Thanksgiving so you can relax with family and friends before the fun begins December 1st as we kick-off the month with fun-filled service opportunities as we #LIGHTtheWORLD this holiday season.
I promised you a Shopping List in Step 1’s post, so here is a visual snap shot of what you need to purchase if you want to jump on board. If this looks like to much for your family, just use the cards and go from there. Otherwise, if you are still reading, I am assuming that you are as excited about this project as I am!
This is what the whole month looks like! I think your kids are going to go nuts with how much fun we are going to have while giving them opportunities to serve as well. We hope this will add to some of your already fantastic traditions during Christmas and that the feelings of goodwill and service can be carried on throughout the coming year.
I will be adding all the links to the entire calendar that will be linked from the QR codes on the Advent Cards. It will also give you an opportunity to glance through the month and see what’s ahead as well as so that you can download all of the printables for your family. We have some excited activities to share with you like a Christmas-in-a-box, a Gingerbread House, bringing joy to the lonely baskets and more amazing ideas coming soon so don’t miss out! Stay connected on all our social sites today: FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE, TWITTER and PINTEREST.
Let’s go Shopping!! Print out the Shopping List and bookmark this page on your phone so you can refer to it as you add things into your cart! The total cost for everything on the list will be about $34 depending on how many kids you have in your family. That’s pretty awesome considering it will take you through most of the month of December and I did all the thinking and preparing for you!
Once you get all your items purchased, wrap them up in tissue paper with a gray ribbon. Now, just hang your shoe organizer somewhere in the house like outside the pantry door or by the front door coat closet. Put the little gifts in the coordinating pockets and you are ready for a fantastic and unforgettable Christmas season! I can’t wait to see what your advent calendar looks like. Here are all the links to the 25 Days of Christmas. There are printables for Day’s 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 16 and 25. We will also be sneaking in a few more activities with more PRINTABLES during the month so make sure you “LIKE” us on Facebook so you know when they are posted.
Step 1 is not working. Is there a link to print out the # tags and the daily scripture/activities? I am missing some from last year.
Here is a link for the tags. What link wasn’t working so I can get it fixed? Thanks. https://brightlystreet.com/christmas-advent-calendar-25-days-in-25-ways-lighttheworld/
Where do I get the printable’s for each day?
Hi Jennifer. The daily tags are on this page https://brightlystreet.com/christmas-advent-calendar-25-days-in-25-ways-lighttheworld/ the individual printables for activities are found on these days. 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 16 and 25. If you just click on each of those numbers at the right side of any of the pages or the bottom of the one I linked to you can download those printables. Hope that helps!
I loved doing this last year. Mostly did my own activities because it is hard to plan ahead and adapt for what we can do. It would help if you had a list of the activities and preparations so I don’t have to click all over to prepare.
