Kathi Oram Peterson was born in a small town in Idaho. Since childhood, she has loved reading and writing stories. After raising her family, she put her writing on hold to earn a BA in English and a minor in Sociology. Upon graduation, she worked for a curriculum publisher writing and editing concept and biography books for children. She writes romantic suspense and young adult.

My Review

The cover of “Bloodline” intrigued me. My favorite genre to read is medieval so I figured that’s what the stories focus was. The prologue grabbed me from the start and then Chapter 1 said “Present Day.” I am not going to lie, I was a bit disappointed, but that feeling didn’t last long. Kathi sucks you right into the story from the first page. I could not put it down and read the whole thing in one night. Not much sleep happened. The story is about your average American named Skye who runs into a handsome man while serving him as a flight attendant. Skye and Jack’s life keep colliding until they join the same team to unravel the mystery of where her aunt is and why someone would kidnap her. It is a fast-paced suspense novel with a subtle love story woven throughout. I kept trying to figure out who was the good guys and who were the bad guys and in the end, it twisted so much, I was unprepared for how the characters played out. A very well written page turner, I just wish the ending had a few more pages to go to wrap it up better in my mind but isn’t that how a good book always ends… wanting more of the story?
