Happy Halloween from 20 years ago!
What are some of your favorite Halloween memories? One of my favorite memories happened 20 years ago when I was a Senior in High School. I grew up in Southern California and I was on the Varsity Volleyball team. A couple of my volleyball buddies decided that we should dress up like characters from "The Wizard of Oz." Since I had some crazy curly hair, I dressed up like the cowardly lion. That afternoon we had a volleyball game which if I remember right was against our rival school. Since it was Halloween, I just left my face paint on and played the whole game that way and trust me I was no "cowardly" lion during that game! It was fun to be a middle blocker and growl at the opposing team while on the net. Okay, we'll I don't think I really growled but it was fun nevertheless. Afterwards, we celebrated our victory at a local pizza joint. Those were some great days and I can't believe today is exactly 20 years since I was on that court and walking around as a lion. I love and miss these two amazing and talented ladies and the rest of the fabulous volleyball friends and coaches!!!
Last year my daughter dressed up like Dorothy. In honor of my high school days!
Here is a fun and easy activity to do with your children today for Halloween. Take the letter "G" and turn it into the "Good Witch." This is a fun way to learn about letters and how to draw. Super basic. The kids had fun making them today. You just need a white piece of paper and a pencil. Here's some steps on how to make the witch.
