Overcoming Weakness

By the time he was 11 years old, Stephen J. Cannell was convinced that he was a loser.  he had to repeat three grades.  he was dyslexic and had trouble reading, writing and doing math.  Yet, he held onto his dream of writing for a living and later received a journalism degree.

With his wife's encouragement, he began to write for television, yielding his first successful series, The Rockford Files.  Today, Cannell is an internationally know producer and writer, and example of how individuals can overcome a personal weakness.
