My name is Melia and I am a Mormon.

I am the fourth child of an amazing family.  I grew up in a happy home in Bellflower, California.  My parent's have been amazing examples of followers of Jesus Christ.  (Read about their African Mission here)  They have taught me how and where to look for the true source of happiness which is the Savior.  There is nothing more important to me in this world than he knowledge that I am a literal daughter of a loving Father in Heaven and that His Son the Savior of mankind is my elder brother who came to redeem me from my sins.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's church restored once again upon the earth.  I know that Christ restored His church through his prophet Joseph Smith and that the prophet saw and did what he said he did.  I know that The Book of Mormon which is another testament of Jesus Christ is true.  Nephi, Alma, Moroni and the other prophets found in the Book of Mormon lived upon this continent long ago and they added their testimony of Jesus Christ with those ancient prophets of the Old and New Testament.  I know, too, that the Bible is true and that it is a light that has helped me understand my place in this world of turmoil and unrest.  I know that God lives and that He loves us for he said, "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands…" (1 Nephi 21:16)

I invite all to find out more about the plan that our Heavenly Father has for you by reading a book of scripture that will change your life as it has changed the hearts of millions.  What is this book of scripture?

"The Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible. It is a record of God’s dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the Americas and contains the fulness of the everlasting gospel.

The crowning event recorded in the Book of Mormon is the personal ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ among the Nephites soon after his resurrection. It puts forth the doctrines of the gospel, outlines the plan of salvation, and tells men what they must do to gain peace in this life and eternal salvation in the life to come.

Concerning this record the Prophet Joseph Smith said: “I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.”

We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. (See Moroni 10:3–5)

Those who gain this divine witness from the Holy Spirit will also come to know by the same power that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that Joseph Smith is his revelator and prophet in these last days, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah." I have done what Moroni has said, I have read the Book of Mormon and asked God who has all knowledge if the things that I have read are true.  I can saw for certain that it is!  God does love us and He wants us to follow Him.  He has called prophets in our day to bless us eternally.  This is my invitation to you as well.
