National Quilt Day

March 21st is National Quilting Day.  The largest completed quilt in the world was created for the centennial celebration of North Dakota held in 1987.  Leonna Tennyson organize and encourage the efforts of 7,000 quilters around the state for the project.  The result is 135 feet long and 85 feet wide weighing in at 800 pounds.  With few places largest enough to display it, it stays in a "storage container", a travel trailer.
