Today we start learning about the members of the First Presidency. President Dieter F. Uchtdorf is the Second Counselor in the First Presidency. There are some great stories about President Uchtdorf here and his official bio here.
President Uchtdorf was a pilot and he always has a great lesson to share about flying. I thought it would be fun to make paper airplanes. The game "Flying-4-Facts" was created to help teach your children about President Uchtdorf. Print and cut out the four airplanes and have your kids fold them into planes. (The image on the "wings" is from the company that President Uchtdorf was a pilot for in Germany.) Next, print the cards with numbers 1-8 with the questions on the backside. Cut out the cards and spread them on the floor. Have the kids try and "land" their planes on one of the target landing numbers. Flip over whichever card they landed on and answer the question on the backside.
There are only two more days until Conference!
I hope you have fun playing planes today. Enjoy!
